WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE FOR THIS POSITION

Technical Advisor

The Technical Advisor is a member of the product team and supports the implementation of GideonSoft, our proprietary software.  They provide direct support to the team with testing, training, and implementation of GideonSoft products designed for particular use and specific clients.  This position requires foundational understanding of GideonSoft and the ability to deliver service and support in a confident manner.  The Technical Advisor should understand the specific outcomes designed for the client, as well as testing and quality assurance activities associated with achieving those outcomes.  The role requires close work with the product team and client to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the products.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support the product manager in accomplishing goals.
  • Anticipate support requirements by knowing targeted outcome, schedules, and needs.
  • Provide technical support and training to the client, as directed.
  • Participate in software testing and implementation.
  • Know the GideonSoft product, its functionality and lifecycle.

 

Needed to Win

  • 1-2 years of product support experience.
  • Demonstrated success working with teams to provide training and technical support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows ecosystem and the ability to resolve computer software problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to sequence timelines to meet objectives and provide solutions that support desired outcomes.
    • Experience communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences, both orally and in written forms.
    • Strong organization and prioritization skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Able to take direction, seek clarification, stay organized, and provide results on time without regular oversight.
  • Able to work well in a team environment (collaborating with others in brainstorming, giving and receiving feedback, and strategizing) as well as independently (working on projects away from the office).
  • Demonstrated initiative, personal drive, and commitment. This position will require someone who is looking for more to do, is constantly improving, and approaches work with an enterprising attitude.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience in Windows, Android, and iOS mobile devices and applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, basic SQL Script Writing, and PowerBI Dashboards.
  • Experience integrating software solutions into daily workflow.
  • Experience working in a military environment.

 

 

This work will require:

  • United States Citizenship, with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, as a team member and independently, with all levels and types of staff throughout the organization.
  • Periodic travel to different training locations.

 

Benefits

  • Full Time employment
  • Pay: From 65,000K per year
  • Healthcare: Employer paid/subsidized health plan with supplemental insurance for the employee. (Dental, Health, Vision, HAS)
  • Retirement: After 90 days of employment, a 401k or Roth 401k is offered. Horizon matches contributions for 100% of the first 3% of compensation plus 50% over 3% up to 5% of compensation.
  • Long Term Disability Insurance paid for employees.
  • After 90 days of employment, eligible for Flexible Time Off (CTO, as applicable).
